mamarazzi had a blast in the WNYU studios with our gracious hosts from Hip Hop & Her Family, DJ Petra, Genesis Be, and Audrey Hailes. A sound booth has never been sweatier. By the end of our half hour live set, the glass between the live room and the control room was completely fogged up.

After taking a breather and mopping up our sweat, we joined the ladies next door for a conversation on the air. Mamas Eric Herman (bass) and Sam Bathrick (percussion and vocals) did most of the talking.

mama goes back to school

Wesleyan University, alma mater to 6 of the mamas, hired mamarazzi to headline the annual "tent party" - the last hurrah for graduating seniors (and reuniting alumni) before commencement. Mamarazzi shared the stage with the hip hop group Illegalize, another project featuring the talents of mamarazzi's MC, Tavi Fields, along with a different group of Wesleyan alum. Sweating, dancing, loving, and crowd surfing ensued.

Friday, March 14, 2014 Hip Hop legend Chuck D of Public Enemy played mamarazzi's "Won't Be Beat" on his show AndYouDontStop! (broadcast on WBAI at 99.5 FM in NY and on the web at rapstation.com). Friday, March, 14 2014 Radio Station WNYC (93.9 FM in New York and www.nyc.org on the web) featured mamarazzi as a "Gig Alert" on their program Soundcheck. Announcer John Schaefer played an excerpt of the track "Won't Be Beat" while describing the band and promoting our upcoming gig at Rockwood Music Hall.

mamarazzi drops new single/music video: Pimps in the Pulpit

We just finished mastering the tracks from our recording session up at Applehead Studios this past August. Before the album's official release on December 14th, we will be releasing two singles. The first single, Pimps in the Pulpit, drops today! Stay tuned next month for our next single release.
